GOOD SHEPHERD HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
The Good Shepherd Higher Secondary School Alumni Association (GSHSSAA) was originally established in the year 1987 at the initiative of a few old students and with the blessing of Fr. N. P. Abraham, CSC, the then Principal of the school. Then, the association was known as the Good Shepherd School Past Pupils' Association (GSSPPA). The purpose of this association was to bring together students who have studied and passed out from Good Shepherd Higher Secondary School, Jongksha.
During the years that followed, the association had its ups and downs. And during the last two decades, it was not functional due to various reasons. As the school was stepping into its Golden Jubilee of establishment, once again the need for reviving the association was very much felt. At the initiative of Fr. George Jacob, CSC, the present Principal of the school, a group of old students gathered in the school hall on 2nd October 2021. During this meeting, it was decided to revive the association to bring together all former students of the school and contribute to the betterment of their Alma Mater besides inspiring the present batches of students to become better persons.
During this meeting, the Association was renamed by changing the nomenclature from 'Past Pupil' to 'Alumni’ and henceforth the association will be known as Good Shepherd Higher Secondary School Alumni Association (GSHSSAA), Jongksha. The meeting also elected the Central Executive Committee of the association and discussed the way forward.
